Activists want to draw international attention to the lack of respect for private property in Uzbekistan
17.01.2023On 11 and 12 January 2023, a group of Tashkent activists who had suffered from arbitrary treatment by the executive and judicial authorities wrote to the President of Uzbekistan. They also applied for a personal meeting with the Prime Minister A. Aripov, the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Islamov and the Head of the Presidential Administration, Sardor Umirzakov.

– Illegal seizure of private property and forced eviction in favour of private developer firms;
– Infringement of rights to private property,
– Inaction of Prosecutor’s Office;
– Procedural violations on the part of judges;
– Ignoring court acts, international conventions;
– Inaction of executive bodies.
